Halloween 2009!

Happy Belated Halloween!!

I've got so much to blog about but i can't be arsed to start from where i left off because it was a really long time ago!

Last Saturday i spent Halloween at Nottingham with some friends at Oceana.

Took a lot of pictures as we waited for Maricel to do her make-up. We stayed over her place for the weekend. She's such a perfectionist, her room is sooooo neat and tidy!

The music they played throughout the night wasn't really my thing. Good company though!

Woke up Sunday morning after only 3ish-4ish hours of sleep and got a sorethroat. I sound like a guy right now! Boo!!

I'm going to Nottingham this coming wed again for another party! ;P It's gonna be crazy because i've got tutorial class the next morning at 11am!

nyehehe it's been a long long time. :O

I'm actually planning of closing down this blog now since i haven't really got the time to blog. I've been so busy the past few weeks.

I'll be busy again this weekend. We're going to Nottingham for the Nottingham Malaysian games and then celebrating Halloween there! WOOT!!

Yeah... i shall close this site down in the next few days. =X

I wish i could hibernate right now!!! The weather today is pretty chilly and the sky is so grey. It's so grey and dull man. The max temperature today is about 14 degrees celsius. Awesome right. I wore shorts with tights underneath and a top with a boyfriend blazer over. My legs were slightly cold in the morning because it was raining! I couldn't tell that it was raining from my window until i stepped out of my flat. geeeezuz.

I'm feeling too lazy to blog!!
I'll update more about Loughborough and Uni life soon.

One sunny afternoon. That's the view from Wendy's room. How lovely! It's nice being on the first floor. I'm on the ground floor and it sucks! I rarely, well more like never draw my curtains to let any form of natural light into my room. =X It's just weird because i don't want strangers to peep into my window. My window is right opposite this pretty busy walk way and another building. Sucks big time!

We had some sort of 'claypot' in a rice-cooker. It was meant to be darker but Wendy didn't have any dark soy sauce. I helped in chopping up some of the ingredients! :P

We had to add some tabasco sauce or mushroom sauce for more flavour as the rice was a little plain.

Nicky came late so he had to wash the dishes later on.

Jon and Nick started trying on my boots as they were really comfy. They of course had to curl their toes. My feet isn't huge! I'm wearing a UK size 5! :P

One of the days~

I rushed all the way down to one of my lectures only to find out it was canceled! 15mins walk for nothing!

I decided to bum around at Hui King's place for abit.

I bought one of those furry slippers she's wearing in lilac for 3 pounds! :D

One of my course mates made tea for me. Her room is right opposite Hui King's so they share the same kitchen.

hehehehe i lost my Brunei IC so i had to report it to get a statement and yada yada so when i return i can make a new one. I was really careless. I lost it within the first week you know!


Oh this morning my block had a fire drill at 7am! I was still sleeping and everyone had to evacuate the building within 3 mins. We had to assemble at the quad and wait until we're allowed back into the building but then 2 girls didn't bother coming down so our block failed the drill! This means we gotta redo another day!!! you know how annoying it is to get up early morning and walk out in the cold! Some people came out wrapped in their duvet. =X

I went back to bed and only got up around 10ish. I didn't have any lectures today so i went to town with Wendy. I spent alot, again.... gosh... i'm feeling the pinch already but i didn't regret buying all that stuff just now. teeehee.

Tonight's gonna be one boring night! It's chilly and everyone's kinda ill (it's either flu, sorethroat or cough) so no one feels like doing anything. Booo!!!!!

Universal Thursday!

Two days ago i went for one of the events hosted at the Student Union at Loughborough University.

Every Thursday is Universal Thursday and it's basically meant for the international students but the local students do join in the fun as well. Buy one drink and get one free! good stuff!

Had no time to doll myself up and shit because Wendy was waiting for the guys to do their laundry as she had her jacket in with their pile so yeah... I had the make-up on since morning and i didn't wanna remove it and then pile on more..

She however managed to get a quick shower at my place before we went out. She doesn't use make up! I wished i had great skin and etc to be able to go out bare-faced!

I went out my place without a jacket! :P
It wasn't very chilly outside to me, surprisingly.

We had to walk all the way back to the student union. It got a little chilly so i borrowed nick's jacket for a bit.

We went over to someone's place to drop off their coats and etc. She lives nearby the union so it wasn't so bad..

It was fucking cold by the time we left the place!

We left kinda early, a little before 2am because we were kinda tired and also because i had 9am lectures the next day! Geeeezuz.

I was half asleep during the first lecture and Wendy chose to sit 3 rows in front of the lecturer so i couldn't exactly close my eyes because she could see me! The second half of the lecture got better because we had to take down some notes so i didn't feel so sleepy anymore.

Today's such a windy day! I hate the wind! It fucks up my hair! :( My weather-proofing serum for hair doesn't work anymore because the wind is getting seriously out of control.

First week in UK!!

Left Brunei on the 22nd of September.

Thanks to those who came to send Wendy, Denice and myself off.
The three of us booked the seats on the same day. :)

Carissa is damn happy! her hands are under the table. ;)

Goshhh even Soph's hair is longer than mine already!!

First thing she said to me when she saw me at the airport was, "why's your face so pale!!! bla bla bla"...

Cheryl came really really late!

We bid our farewells and stuff. Everyone was trying to make me cry but it didn't work! muahahaha... Wendy and Denice already started pouring but i somehow can't seem to be able to do the same. My mum said i'm a lousy daughter! =X

Stopped over at Dubai.

I got hit on by this security check guy. He asked me where i'm from and how old i was.... then he told me his age. O_o and then he talked to his colleague in their language and the girls and i quickly walked off.

Wendy had 3 packs of yogurt on the plane.

We arrived at Heathrow around 7am i think.

and omg we went to china town that evening and had chinese food!! It sucked!!


The next day, 24th September:

We had bagel and coffee for breakfast! it was good!

We had a coach catered for those going to Loughborough University.

It took around 2 and a half hours on coach from London to Lboro.

Wendy was already in Lboro by the time we got there because she didn't stay over Brunei hall.
She came to look for me and we went to my hall of residence to drop off my luggage and stuff.

By the time everything was settled, i had dinner at the dining hall because i'm catered and it was pretty intimidating because there are so few asians in my hall! and until now we don't really mingle. Awkward..... XD

Oh and everyone here is like at least half a head or so taller than me. I feel somewhat tiny over here.

The next day, 25th September, i think we had an induction for the Business School students. It was really boring. I can't remember what else happened because it was so boring..

That night a couple of us went over to Denice's place. When i say Denice's place i mean the house she's sharing with Yen Lu, Yee Ping and this other guy.

We brought drinks over to their place. We only managed to get beer and breezers because everything else was gone! The people here start partying really early so most of the booze disappears from the shelf real fast!

After Denice's place we had to walk back to where we stay on campus and it's really a bore to walk back at night because it's chilly.


26th September:

We went around town again for breakfast/lunch.

Then we were off to the rail station because Denice and the others told us they're going to Nottingham!

On the way to the rail station which was at the other end of Lboro!

Arrived in Nottingham after 25mins!

The funny thing was that neither of us have been to Nottingham and we didn't know where to go because we didn't have a map or anything like that so we were all basically clueless!

Denice asked for directions and so we made our way to town.

We just did some shopping. Not very heavy but still very damaging to the wallet.

Took the rail back in the evening.

We had KFC for dinner and it was just soooo sad!!

This was Yen Lu's meal.

I had a snack box and it was equally sad eventhough i had fries + chicken but the chicken was just tiny! I expected something huge but it came out looking smaller than what they have back home.


One of the days:

We went to Tesco but it was closed!!!

We had fish and chips for dinner and the fish was huge!!!

I shared mine with Wendy and we still didn't manage to finish it. We were all just hanging out at Hui King's room because her roomie still hasn't arrived yet.

Went over to Wendy's place to have drinks in her kitchen.

Her hall's kitchen is damn tiny!

She didn't have any bowls so we had to eat in that huge salad bowl thingy majigy.


28th September:

After the International Student's night.

The weather was really good the other day! Oh and that's my Business Faculty. It's about 10-15mins away by foot from where i live on campus.

It's Saturday again. I don't get meals during weekends so that means i gotta look for my own food. I've got no plans for the whole morning/afternoon. I woke up really early today because i slept so early last night. Last night we were all sort of recovering from the other night and it was too cold to go out and do anything. I wanted to walk over to Wendy's so she could make me hot soup but i couldn't be arsed because of the weather, then again walking back to my place alone is kinda scary.

Tonight we're going over to Denice's for pizza!!

i've got about 24 hours..

I've just finished packing one of my suitcases and it only weighs 24kgs! awesome! I've got another smaller suitcase to pack my toiletries, make up stuff (i know right!), shoes, chargers and some other smaller items! Hopefully i don't go over the proposed weight limit, i.e. 35kgs.

I'm pretty nervous about leaving.

Well actually i'm really nervous.... i haven't had the appetite to really eat anything or crave for anything else. Zzzz...

I'm glad Wendy and i are in the same faculty so we'll be having the same inductions and all. teehee~

So tonight's my last night in Brunei............... =(
